Job Description: Food & Beverage Server

Position Title: Food & Beverage Server / Waiter / Waitress
Department: Food & Beverage Service
Reports To: Restaurant Supervisor / Captain Waiter / Restaurant Manager

Position Summary

The Food & Beverage Server is responsible for providing excellent guest service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The Server maintains high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and professionalism while promoting the restaurant's products and services.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service

  • Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Present menus and explain menu items, daily specials, and promotions.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
  • Answer guest questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Provide attentive service throughout the dining experience.

Food & Beverage Service

  • Serve food and beverages according to established service standards.
  • Ensure orders are delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently.
  • Process guest bills and handle payments accurately when required.

Restaurant Operations

  • Prepare dining areas before service, including table setup and station preparation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, and equipment.
  • Replenish condiments, utensils, napkins, and service supplies.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties.

Sales & Upselling

  • Promote menu items, beverages, and special offers.
  • Suggest additional items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
  • Meet established sales and service goals.

Health & Safety

  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  • Comply with company policies and health regulations.
  • Report safety hazards, equipment issues, and guest incidents immediately.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Hospitality or Hotel & Restaurant Management background is an advantage.
  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
