Responsibilities may include:

  • Patient care coordination
  • Telephone Triage
  • Remote Patient Monitoring
  • Manage medical reception tasks (calls, emails, correspondence)
  • Verify insurance and handle prior authorizations
  • Schedule appointments and update EHR/EMR systems
  • Collect co-payments and outstanding balance if applicable
  • Other medical administrative duties

Qualifications:

  • A degree OR some units in allied medical course is preferred
  • At least 6 months experience as a Virtual Medical Assistant
  • At least 6 months experience as a CSR
  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
  • Knowledge of US healthcare private insurance (e.g. Medicaid, Medicare)
