Job Title: Engineering Documentation Specialist
Temporary Office Location: Santa Fe, Bantayan Island, North Cebu, Philippines.

Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Engineering Documentation Specialist to manage and maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOMs) and engineering documentation for packaging components and finished products.

This is a hybrid position, with a work schedule of two weeks in the office followed by two weeks working remotely. The role requires close collaboration with design engineers, procurement teams, and production staff to ensure engineering documentation is accurate, up to date, and compliant with technical, quality, and manufacturing standards.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in engineering documentation, product data management, and cross-functional collaboration within a manufacturing or packaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Bills of Material (BOM) and engineering documents for packaging components, subassemblies, and finished products.
• Update technical documents and BOMs to reflect design changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain detailed records of part numbers, specifications, dimensions, materials, and suppliers.
• Evaluate and select appropriate packaging materials based on cost, sustainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with design engineers, procurement teams, and production personnel to ensure technical accuracy.
• Communicate BOM revisions and technical document updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Analyze BOM-related data to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
• Conduct periodic engineering documentation audits to ensure quality and compliance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for BOM-related inquiries, technical document updates, and stakeholder concerns.
• Implement best practices for document control, standardization, and process efficiency.
• Manage multiple projects from initial concept to production, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Continuously enhance design processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and innovation.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field (additional certifications in document management are a plus).
• 2–4 years of experience in Packaging, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Proficiency in BOM management software, ERP systems, and 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of GD&T standards (e.g., ASME Y14.5) for engineering drawings and drafting.
• Experience with crate/wooden packaging and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to use measuring equipment such as tape measures, calipers, and scales.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and deadline-driven.

• Salary: Php 39,500 per month

Employment Terms

• Probationary Period: Six (6) months
• Work Schedule: 8-hour shift (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Day shift (but may transition to night shift as required)
• Night Shift Differential: If assigned to night shift between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, employees will receive a 10% night shift differential, in accordance with labor regulations.
