Position Title: Secretary

Job Summary

The Secretary is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the funeral home. The position involves handling correspondence, maintaining records, coordinating schedules, assisting clients and visitors, and supporting management in daily administrative functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and inquiries from clients, suppliers, and visitors.
  • Greet clients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain files, records, contracts, permits, and other documents.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and funeral service arrangements as directed by management.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, letters, billing documents, and other administrative paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate records of client transactions and funeral service documentation.
  • Coordinate with government offices, suppliers, cemeteries, churches, and other service providers when necessary.
  • Monitor office supplies and ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence and deliveries.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and company records.
  • Assist management with administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of any Bachelor's Degree or relevant course.
  • Previous experience in administrative or secretarial work is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work professionally and compassionately with grieving families.
  • Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Willing to work flexible hours when required.

Working Conditions

  • Office-based work within the funeral home premises.
  • May be required to assist during funeral services and related events.
  • May interact with clients and families during sensitive situations requiring professionalism and empathy.

Pay: Php600.00 per day
