Role Description
We’re looking for a skilled Frontend Developer with strong experience in PHP, CSS, and Bootstrap to help modernize and transform our existing website. You’ll be responsible for converting the current interface into a clean, responsive, and user-friendly experience while improving and refactoring existing front-end code. The ideal candidate is comfortable working within an established PHP-based system and can seamlessly integrate front-end improvements without disrupting existing backend functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze the current site’s UI/UX, identify improvement areas, and map out the conversion plan.
- Rebuild pages using Bootstrap, modern CSS practices, and responsive design principles.
- Convert existing layouts into a new design, ensuring consistency across all pages.
- - Accurately translate design mockups or references into functional, responsive web pages.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
- Implement reusable components and clean front-end architecture.
- Test and validate front-end changes to ensure existing functionality remains intact.
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and other team members to ensure front-end changes align with design requirements, backend functionality, and overall project goals.
- Maintain documentation for UI components, style guidelines, and front-end workflows.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong proficiency in PHP (templating, integrating front-end with backend logic).
- Advanced knowledge of CSS, Bootstrap, and responsive design.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery for front-end interactions and existing functionality.
- Experience converting legacy or outdated UIs into modern layouts.
- Familiarity with HTML5 semantics and accessibility best practices.
- Ability to debug front-end issues using browser dev tools.
- Understanding of version control (Git) and collaborative workflows.
- Experience working with existing codebases and refactoring without breaking functionality.
- Strong attention to detail in spacing, alignment, responsiveness, and visual consistency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with PHP frameworks.
- Familiarity with Bootstrap 5 or other modern CSS frameworks.
- Understanding of UX principles and layout best practices.
- Understanding of front-end performance optimization and page-load best practices.
This role will initially focus on the website modernization project, with the potential to transition into a permanent, full-time position based on performance, project needs, and overall fit with the team.
Pay: From Php30,000.00 per month
