Full job description

We are seeking a Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer for a Swiss IT services provider supporting enterprise customers. The role is responsible for proactively monitoring and maintaining complex network infrastructures, managing incidents and changes, and resolving network-related issues to ensure service availability and performance. Strong expertise in networking technologies, a proactive mindset, and effective customer communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Proactive supervision and monitoring of complex network infrastructures in an enterprise environment
  • Responsibility for incident and change management in the network sector
  • Proactive tasks and preventive maintenance of customer infrastructures
  • Tasks in the areas of firewalls (~60%) & switching (~30%), as well as WLAN, WAN and VPN (~10%)
  • Customer communication

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or any related course
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Network Operations Engineer
  • In-depth technical knowledge in the areas of perimeter security, routing & switching, VPN, TCP/IP and Wi-Fi
  • Training or certifications from Fortinet (at least NSE4) and Cisco (at least CCNA) are advantageous
  • Working methods in line with ITIL, as well as process-oriented thinking such as change management and planning maintenance windows
  • A mindset geared towards preventive and proactive work
  • Willingness to work evenings and nights
  • ·Good English communication skills
