Editorial Illustrator jobs

· Uses basic illustrational steps (sketching, tracing, coloring, clean-up images, photo enhancement, graphical design/presentation and other aesthetic components of the book (including researching in the internet to make the project easier and faster) for additional images/references/etc. in the production of good quality artworks required in a particular title.

· Analyzes and interprets the illustration specification before proceeding to the actual illustration.

· Communicates with immediate Head, layout artist, and editorial assistant about the size or frame to be given for illustrations to avoid resizing and revising images.

· Suggests and recommends relevant and appropriate additional illustrations/photos for improving the physical layout presentation of a particular material.

· Conceptualizes icons to be used in the segments of a particular project title for Immediate Head’s approval and transfers the files to the layout artist concerned.

· Other tasks may be assigned by the Sr. Illustrator, OIC or immediate head
