Full job description

Primary Purpose of Position

Empower the global Communications and Marketing teams with actionable, data-driven storytelling. Transform complex marketing and media data into clear, compelling narratives that illuminate performance, uncover opportunities, and guide strategic decisions across the digital landscape.

We are seeking a data analyst who is passionate about the art and science of marketing. You will be the bridge between raw data and marketing strategy, leveraging your analytical skills to understand campaign effectiveness, audience behaviour, and the broader media landscape. The ideal candidate is not just a technical expert but a strategic partner who understands the nuances of the marketing funnel and can translate integrated data into clear, actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Data Tracking, Collection & Validation:

  • Own the end-to-end data tracking strategy for marketing campaigns, including the management of UTM parameters and the validation of tracking via GA4, GTM, and conversion APIs.
  • Monitor and collect data from a wide array of sources, including ad platforms, web analytics, CRM, and media monitoring tools.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of collected data by performing regular audits, troubleshooting discrepancies, and upholding data governance standards.

Performance Monitoring & Analysis:

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of marketing performance across channels (SEO, SEM, Paid Social, Email) to track against KPIs and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Monitor media coverage and social listening data to provide insights on brand sentiment, share of voice, and emerging issues.
  • Analyse the results of A/B tests and conversion rate optimisation initiatives, providing clear interpretations on performance.

Insight Generation & Reporting:

  • Synthesise data from all sources to build a holistic narrative on marketing performance and brand health, translating complex datasets into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Develop, automate, and maintain intuitive dashboards in Looker Studio or Power BI to provide the marketing and communications teams with a real-time view of performance.
  • Produce and socialise regular performance reports that move beyond simple data presentation to offer compelling narrative, context, and strategic recommendations for optimisation.

Stakeholder Partnership:

  • Act as a strategic partner to marketing and communications teams, empowering them with data-driven storytelling to guide decisions on targeting, creative, and budget allocation.
  • Champion a culture of data literacy by clearly communicating insights and their implications to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Marketing Data Analyst or Digital Analyst, with a focus on data analysis and insight generation—not technical deployment.
  • Strong hands-on experience in monitoring and analysing data from digital marketing sources, including GA4, ad platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta), CRM data, and media monitoring/social listening tools (Brandwatch, Meltwater)
  • Demonstrated expertise in translating complex data into clear, actionable insights and compelling visualisations for marketing stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualisation tools such as SQL (for data querying), Looker Studio, and Power BI is essential. Familiarity with Python for data analysis is a strong advantage.
  • A solid understanding of the digital marketing and earned media landscape, including customer acquisition funnels, channel-specific KPIs, and brand reputation metrics.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with a proven ability to influence strategy through data.
