Key Responsibilities:

The Corporate Volunteer Engagement Specialist provides assistance and technical expertise in the implementation of holistic, innovative, and progressive corporate/foundation partnerships and direct marketing strategies leading to team funding growth, and supporting the goal and objectives of WVDF with the end in view of creating a continually transforming organization that engages different partners/donors to participate in its child-focused transformational development ministry.

He/she is primarily responsible in engaging corporate partner employees in volunteering activities, engaging bank, charity platforms for fundraising, and engaging brands in various cause-related marketing efforts.

This is an open-ended post based in Quezon City.

Major Responsibilities

  • Support the Corporate Partnership Officer in conducting corporate and foundation donor mapping, targeting, and implementation of a Donor Relationship Management Plan (DRMP) for each significant donor
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with corporations and foundations resulting in new funding opportunities, focusing on employee engagement (including volunteerism, giving, and fundraising). Manage and strengthen relationships with corporations/foundations.
  • In special cases, manages volunteer engagement opportunities for high net worth individuals or key persons.
  • Properly coordinate with the corporate volunteers all the details of the employee engagement activity (itinerary, community policies, budget, etc.) and ensures activities are smoothly implemented.
  • Properly coordinate with the Operations Team and other community stakeholders to implement employee engagement activities with corporate donors.
  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with businesses and brands focusing on cause-related marketing
  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with bank rewards programs, charity donation platforms, and e-commerce platforms to establish World Vision as a beneficiary charity (including uploading and updating of World Vision campaigns and coordinating with Finance to ensure all donations are recorded accordingly).
  • Manage the Goods-in-Kind and Services-in-Kind product donations of corporate partners; coordinate with donors and Operations Team/community in the proper delivery and receipt/distribution of the donations.
  • Provide support in maintaining, updating, and growing the records/database of partner corporations, foundation, and institutions
  • Support the Business Development Team and other Proposal Development Team (PDT) members from departments such as Finance, Operations, SMIL, etc. to develop funding concepts and project proposals, particularly on employee engagement and cause-related marketing.
  • Implements assigned team tasks and responsibilities as agreed upon with the Corporate Partnerships Officer at the start of each fiscal year.
  • Initiates direct marketing research and post activity evaluation to assess effectiveness of the strategies or activities implemented.
  • Submits periodical/monthly accomplishment report and submits proposals on how to increase effectively monthly targets.
  • Ensures that Christ-centered Commitment is a foundational mandate of every corporate partnership and direct marketing processes.
  • Organizational Contribution:
    • Regularly attend Corporate and Team devotion and prayer as part of staff spiritual nurturing.
    • Participate in meetings and events such as team and organizational, as necessary.
    • Timely submit Performance Agreements that includes Individual Learning and Development Plan and staff spiritual nurture plan, and Annual Performance Reviews.
    • Support emergency response, as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or other related courses, or any Community Development course with equivalent experience in fundraising and social work.
  • At least 2 years of substantial experience in fundraising, networking and community development.
  • Experience in proposal development, developing and managing projects, and delivering development programming preferred.
  • Experience in coordinating with national agencies and LGUs, civil society organizations, and urban communities.
  • Knowledge and skill in direct marketing, sales, and fundraising.
  • Knowledge in social work and community development.
  • Good understanding of trends in the corporate and foundation sectors, the civil society groups, and in development ministry preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively the marketing message in the context of development, in English and local language.
  • Ability to engage any type of corporate employees as well as community members and beneficiaries to ensure smooth implementation of community-based volunteer activities.
  • Knowledge in business processes and other management-related jargon and processes to easily adapt to corporate partners’ needs and requirements.
  • Exceptional skill in account management and handling multiple accounts.
  • Skill in negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and project management skills.
  • Skill in building relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Skill in creative and/or technical writing.
  • Good understanding of trends in the corporate and foundation sectors and civil society groups.
