Position Overview

The Billing Specialist supports the Finance and Operations teams by ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient billing of residential solar projects. This role is responsible for reviewing and submitting billing documentation and collaborating with internal departments to support revenue operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

● Verify billing information, contracts, service records, work orders, engineering plans and supporting documentation to submit into lender portals for milestone submissions.

● Review accounts for accuracy and identify billing discrepancies or missing information.

● Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and Accounting teams to address billing concerns.

● Maintain organized documentation related to invoices and account records.

● Provide professional and timely communication to internal teams regarding billing matters.

Qualifications:

● 1+ years of experience in billing or QC in the residential solar industry is required.

● Experience with billing platforms (Enfin, LightReach, Goodleap, Propel, WheelHouse)

● Ability to read monitoring sites and array maps for PV/Battery systems

● Able to use most modern computer software, phone-based apps, and computers required

● Ensure all activations are completed efficiently and accurately

● Experience working with SolarEdge, Enphase, Qcell and Tesla products

● Ability to adjust Aurora and engineering plans on the Aurora platform

● Experience working in the residential solar industry.

● Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy with financial information.

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Strong organizational and time management abilities.

● Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.

● Collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills for working across departments.
