Full job description

Write with purpose. Create structured, high-quality content that makes an impact — flexible, remote, and project-based.

About the Role

If you’re a creative, detail-driven writer who thrives in a structured yet flexible environment, this role is for you.

You’ll craft persuasive, engaging content that connects with parents of Year 7 – 12 across Australia — while working remotely and on your own schedule.

This is a contractor role (project-based, fixed monthly rate) with ongoing work and the opportunity to grow alongside a outcomes-driven education start-up.

You’ll receive clear briefs, realistic timelines, and measurable deliverables — so you can focus on doing your best work.

The role reports to the Marketing Coordinator, with consultation from the Operations Lead.

Your Deliverables

  • Write, edit, and proofread copy for digital platforms — blogs, articles, emails, and campaign resources.
  • Align copy with campaign objectives, tone, and brand voice for the Australian audience.
  • Research, structure, and deliver content that builds trust and drives meaningful action.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Designer to deliver cohesive, on-brand assets.
  • Meet agreed timelines with consistency and attention to detail.

Who You Are

  • You’re the kind of writer who brings clarity and structure to creative ideas.
  • You take initiative, deliver quality, and understand how to turn strategy into engaging storytelling.

You’ll bring:

  • 3+ years’ experience in AU English copywriting or content production.
  • Proven ability to create persuasive, lead-generating content.
  • Excellent command of tone, structure, and storytelling.
  • Experience working as a freelancer or contractor — you know how to manage deliverables, not just deadlines.
  • A reliable remote setup (licensed MS Office apps, VPN, stable connection, and quiet space).
  • Experience in using GoHighLevel for content producing and scheduling is an advantage.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

  • Flexibility: Work from anywhere, at your best hours.
  • Clarity: Clear expectations and measurable goals.
  • Growth: Be part of a small but growing team where your contribution truly matters.

How to Apply

  • Send your complete application to people@kalibrate-ed.com.au
  • Subject line:  Application – Content Writer and Producer (Your Name)
  • Please include:

1. Your CV highlighting relevant achievements.

2. A short cover letter with your responses to the questions below.

Screening Questions - We’re looking for clarity and craft — not quantity. Please attach or link to concise, high-quality samples.

a. Do you have experience working as a contractor? Describe your process for submitting deliverables.

b. Which sounds more like you — a Digital Marketing Specialist or a Content/Copywriter? Why?

c. Share 2–3 samples of your best work with a service-based business.

d. Share 2–3 samples of your best work in ghostwriting.

e. Do you have experience producing copy for email or social media campaigns? Share 2–3 of your best campaign samples.

f. Do you use AI in your ghostwriting, content writing, or copywriting? What role does AI play, and roughly what percentage of your writing is AI-assisted?

g. Do you have experience in technical writing? Which style guides have you used?

Only complete applications will be reviewed.

Due to expected volume, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
