Work Arrangement: Site-Based

We are looking for a Construction Manager to join our team for a Wind Energy Construction Project located in Calbayog City. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing overall construction activities for the project's Balance of Plant (BOP) scope, including substation, transmission lines, access roads, and related civil and electrical works.

The role will work closely with the Project Management, Engineering, QA/QC, HSSE, Procurement, subcontractors, and other project teams to ensure that construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, quality standards, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee day-to-day construction activities for the Wind Energy BOP Project, including substation, transmission lines, access roads, and related civil and electrical works.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor construction activities in accordance with the approved project schedule and construction program.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, contractors, and site construction teams.
  • Ensure that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved IFC drawings, method statements, specifications, ITPs, and project requirements.
  • Monitor site progress, manpower, equipment, materials, and productivity to ensure project targets are achieved.
  • Identify construction delays, technical issues, and potential risks and coordinate appropriate corrective and mitigation measures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and construction coordination meetings.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and QA/QC teams regarding technical issues, inspections, testing, and resolution of site concerns.
  • Ensure proper implementation of quality control requirements and timely resolution of non-conformities.
  • Coordinate with the HSSE team to ensure safe work practices and compliance with project safety requirements.
  • Review construction methods, work sequences, and site requirements to ensure efficient execution of works.
  • Monitor the availability and timely delivery of construction materials, equipment, and other resources required for site activities.
  • Coordinate with the Client, Consultant, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders regarding construction-related matters.
  • Review and monitor construction reports, progress updates, schedules, and other project documentation.
  • Support project cost and commercial monitoring, including identification and documentation of variation works and potential claims, as applicable.
  • Ensure proper completion, punch listing, testing, commissioning, and handover of completed works.
  • Provide regular construction progress and performance updates to the Project Manager and Management.
  • Perform other construction management duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager or Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Licensed Engineer (PRC) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in power, renewable energy, infrastructure, or other large-scale engineering projects.
  • Experience in wind power, substation, transmission line, or other BOP projects is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing and coordinating multiple construction activities and subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, project execution, quality requirements, and site practices.
  • Experience in managing construction schedules, manpower, equipment, materials, and site resources.
  • Familiarity with IFC drawings, method statements, ITPs, QA/QC requirements, and construction documentation.
  • Experience coordinating with Clients, Consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of applicable Philippine construction standards, regulations, and HSSE requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel; knowledge of project scheduling software is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple site activities and work under pressure.
  • Willing to work on-site in Calbayog City, Samar.
