QA/QC Engineer – Job Description (Mid-Rise Construction Project)

Job Summary

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction works in the mid-rise project comply with approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. The role includes inspections, monitoring site activities, preparing quality reports, and coordinating with project engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to maintain construction quality and avoid rework.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections and monitor ongoing works.
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
• Prepare and submit inspection requests (IR) and quality documents.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and site engineers regarding quality issues and corrective actions.
• Monitor concrete works, finishing works, structural works, and MEPF installations.
• Identify non-conformance works and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain QA/QC records, reports, checklists, and test results.
• Attend site meetings related to quality concerns and project updates.
• Ensure materials delivered on site meet project specifications and standards.
• Assist in project handover and punch listing activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Civil Engineer is preferred.
• With experience in mid-rise building or construction projects.
• Knowledgeable in QA/QC procedures, inspections, and construction standards.
• Can read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to work on-site.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in construction company setting.
• Familiar with structural, architectural, and finishing inspections.
• Experience handling project documentation and reports.
