Role Overview
- The Company Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care and nursing services to employees, ensuring a healthy and safe work environment. The role includes administering medical treatment, implementing health and wellness programs, maintaining health records, managing the clinic's operations, and handling various administrative duties. Additionally, the Company Nurse will be responsible for liaising with local government units (LGUs) and government agencies, providing support during emergencies, and managing health insurance (HMO) recommendations.

Main Responsibilities:
Clinical Care and Medical Management
- Provide on-site medical consultation, basic treatment, and nursing care to employees.
- Deliver first aid and act as primary responder during workplace medical emergencies.
- Assess diagnostic results and validate medical certificates.
- Coordinate referrals, specialist consultations, medical clearances, and return-to-work assessments.
- Manage sick leave documentation including approval and ensure submission of fit-to-work clearances.
Occupational Health and Safety
- Implement and monitor occupational health and safety programs in line with company and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain workplace emergency response protocols.
- Conduct health and safety training, including first aid and emergency preparedness.
- Participate in Health and Safety Committee meetings and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Liaise with government agencies and LGUs for compliance, inspections, and mandatory reporting.
Wellness and Preventive Programs
- Plan and execute corporate wellness initiatives and health education sessions.
- Coordinate Annual Physical Examinations with accredited clinics and hospitals.
- Communicate APE results and health recommendations to employees and management.
- Promote employee participation in preventive health programs.
Clinic Operations and Administration
- Oversee daily clinic operations to ensure efficiency and service quality.
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records in compliance with legal standards.
- Manage clinic inventory, including medicines and medical supplies.
- Monitor clinic-related expenses and maintain proper documentation.
- Support procurement, scheduling, and administrative requirements related to clinic operations.
Employee Benefits Support
- Assist employees with HMO inquiries, claims, and provider coordination.
- Provide recommendations on HMO coverage and collaborate with HR on plan evaluation.
Facilities Oversight
- Oversee office maintenance operations and supervise maintenance staff to ensure safe and compliant facilities.
Administrative Functions
- Manage clinic scheduling, including employee consultations and Annual Physical Exams
- Maintain organized and updated employee medical records, both digital and physical
- Prepare monthly and annual health reports for management and government compliance
- Process and monitor sick leave documentation and fit-to-work clearances
- Track and reconcile clinic expenses, including medicines and medical supplies
- Handle procurement requests for medical and clinic-related supplies
- Coordinate with HR on employee health documentation and compliance requirements
- Maintain inventory logs and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages
- Assist in budget planning related to clinic operations
- Ensure proper filing and secure storage of confidential records
- Support documentation during audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
Other Duties
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by management in support of employee health, safety, and workplace standards.
- OSH Representative for ISO related activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Active and valid nursing license
- Relevant experience in a corporate or clinical environment
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solid understanding of occupational health and safety regulations
- With OSH or BOSH certification
Skills:
- Excellent clinical skills, including first aid and emergency care.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in using medical equipment and software for health record management.
