Job Summary

The Engineering Intern will support the engineering team in day-to-day technical and administrative tasks across mechanical, civil, and electrical projects. This role provides hands-on experience in planning, design, estimation, documentation, and project coordination while ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, plans, and technical documents
• Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities
• Conduct basic calculations, data gathering, and analysis for engineering projects
• Assist in cost estimation, bill of materials (BOM), and quantity take-offs for engineering projects
• Support preparation of project cost estimates, budgets, and material requirements
• Assist in site inspections, monitoring, and documentation of project progress
• Help ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare reports, presentations, and project documentation
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., contractors, suppliers, and other departments)
• Maintain organized records of engineering files and documents
• Provide administrative support to the engineering team as needed

Specific Exposure Areas (Depending on Assignment)

Mechanical:

• Assist in equipment maintenance planning and monitoring
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical systems

Civil:

• Assist in site inspections and quality checks
• Support project documentation and quantity take-offs

Electrical:

• Assist in basic electrical design and load computations
• Support inspection and testing of electrical systems

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering
• Good academic standing
• Knowledge of basic engineering principles and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design software is an advantage
