5.0 DUTIES

5.1 Regular Duties

5.1.1 Sells, registers and assigns room to incoming guests ensuring that registration cards are properly filled-out. Double-checks in the computer check-out registration cards.

5.1.2 Reads reception logbook and endorsement clipboard for any instructions and follow-ups.

5.1.3 Coordinates with outgoing and incoming receptionists.

5.1.4 Makes the hourly room count to ascertain the availability of rooms for the day.

5.1.5 Reviews the arrival list of the day to familiarize with the family names of those arriving guests.

5.1.6 Files various reports.

5.1.7 Familiarizes all functions for the day and gets ready to give out these information to all inquiries.

5.1.8 Prints pre-registered R-forms in the computer for next day’s arrival.

5.1.9 Attends to guests’ complaints, inquiries and requests. Refers problem to superior whenever necessary.

5.1.10 Maintains orderliness and cleanliness in the counter.

5.1.11 Alert and watchful as to the movements in the lobby.

5.1.12 Blocks off rooms for the FIT and group arrivals.

5.1.13 Handles all reservation inquiries and confirmation after office hours.

5.1.14 Prints report required for distribution on a per shift basis.

5.1.15 Performs other duties as may be assigned by the FO Supervisor.

5.1.16 Post all charges to the guestroom folio as soon as they received.

5.1.17 Post to appropriate folio all cash and charge payments of room accounts, which include both credit card and city ledger.

5.1.18 Exchange foreign currencies acceptable to the hotel for houseguest only.

5.1.19 Gives out cash advances to guests with international credit cards for a maximum of $100.

5.1.20 Handles check out of hotel guests regardless of its category.

5.1.21 Handles approval or determining the validity of credit cards of all walk-in guests in the absence of Credit Department.

5.1.22 Receives payments of city ledger account, deposit of banquet functions are remitted daily to Accounting Department.

5.1.23 Updates credit card cancellation.

5.1.24 Familiarizes herself/ himself with the ongoing conferences and corresponding billing arrangement.

5.1.25 Remits all foreign currencies and other collections either in the form of cash or checks at the end of the shift in a safety deposit box.

5.1.26 Sees to it that as FO Cashier, the working area is clean, safe, neat and all things must be in order.

5.1.27 Makes sure that his/her house fund is kept intact in the assigned safety box.

5.2 Occasional Duties

5.2.1 Handles check out of special groups like Embassies and Airlines with special billing instruction to be held in a function of Hotel room occasionally.

5.2.2 Performs other duties assigned from time to time.

2.0 QUALIFICATIONS:

2.1. Education

2.1.1. College graduate with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

2.2. Work Experience/s:

2.2.1. At least 2 year working experience in the Front Office Operations

2.3. Special Qualities/ Skills Required:

2.3.1. Height must be at least 5’5” for female and 5’8” for male.

2.3.2. Must have a pleasing personality.

2.3.3. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

2.3.4. Ability to speak one or more foreign language (i.e. Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, French, Italian, German, Nihonggo, Chinese and Korean)

2.3.5. Must have excellent public relations abilities.

2.3.6. Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure.

6.3.7 Willing to work in shifting schedule.
