Calling all Talented Filipino Accountants

Lockhart O’Shea Ltd, a boutique New Zealand Chartered Accounting firm, is seeking a skilled and motivated CPA to join our growing team - remotely!

This is a fully remote job and team members need to have a place where they can focus on their work and engage clients and other team members via video conferencing calls. The successful candidate will be required to commence work at 7am Philippine time in order to liaise with New Zealand colleagues and clients.

The Job:

  • Prepare Financial Statements, Income, GST and other types of Tax Returns, for Companies, Trusts, Individuals, Partnerships & Sole Traders.
  • Undertake tax planning and tax payment strategies for clients.
  • Work to required financial, team and education standards set for you.
  • Attend online internal and client meetings.
  • Take responsibility for personal work completion and share in firm workflow assignment.
  • Proactively communicate any issues you have with meeting deadlines in advance of problems arising.

Who You Are:

  • A qualified CPA from the Philippines with demonstrable experience. Previous experience in compiling financials statements is essential.
  • Understanding of New Zealand Accounting Standards and taxation is a plus, however training will be provided for the successful candidate.
  • Have great English skills, high speed internet and a quiet place to work during New Zealand work hours.
  • Experience with accounting software, Xero is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products – Excel, Outlook and Word are required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A self-starter with a meticulous eye for detail and great time management skills.
  • Have an eye for continuous improvement for client files and work processes.
