Buffet Attendant

Job Summary

We are looking for a customer-focused and energetic Buffet Attendant to ensure that buffet stations are well-stocked, clean, and visually appealing while providing excellent service to guests. The successful candidate will assist in food replenishment, maintain buffet presentation, and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up buffet stations before service, ensuring food displays are attractive, organized, and fully stocked.
• Replenish food, beverages, condiments, utensils, plates, and serving equipment throughout service.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, temperature, and presentation in accordance with company standards.
• Remove used plates, trays, and utensils from buffet stations and dining areas as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of buffet counters, serving equipment, and surrounding areas.
• Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, ingredients, and buffet procedures in a courteous and professional manner.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely replenishment of food items.
• Monitor food consumption and promptly communicate replenishment requirements to the kitchen.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards, including proper handling of food and equipment.
• Assist in opening and closing buffet operations, including cleaning and resetting buffet stations.
• Support banquet and special event operations when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the F&B Manager, F&B Supervisor, or Chef.

Qualifications

• At least Senior High School graduate; a degree or vocational certificate in Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or Food and Beverage Services is an advantage.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant, buffet, hotel, catering, or food service establishment is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and lift food trays or supplies when necessary.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in buffet, hotel, banquet, or all-day dining operations.
• Knowledge of buffet presentation and food display standards.
• Basic knowledge of food allergens and menu items.
