Position Summary

The Biomedical Technician serves as the hands-on technical specialist responsible for executing internal Preventive Maintenance Schedules (PMS), physical testing, and direct hardware troubleshooting of clinical medical machinery across all branches. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment safety, preventing electrical hazards, and coordinating closely with Tier 1 IT for initial device assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical Safety & Internal Inspections: Perform routine electrical safety testing, grounding checks, and dust maintenance on medical devices across all branches to mitigate risks to patients and equipment.
  • Frontline Biomed Troubleshooting: Directly troubleshoot and diagnose basic machine hardware problems when localized clinic systems throw error codes or suffer physical malfunctions.
  • PMS Execution: Execute routine internal physical PMS inspections and operational verifications according to the master calibration calendar.
  • Vendor Supervision: Physically oversee third-party service engineers during complex on-site medical machine repairs or official external calibrations to guarantee technical contract compliance.
  • Inventory & Spare Parts Control: Maintain and organize the specialized biomedical spare parts stock, diagnostic tools, and clinical asset registries.
  • IT Triage Collaboration: Respond to escalated machine hardware failures immediately after the frontline branch IT support technicians have verified that the network infrastructure and computer interface are stable.

Key Technical Requirements

  • Electronics & Electrical Safety: Must possess strong foundational knowledge in basic electronics and electricity safety principles to safely handle, test, and maintain expensive, high-powered medical equipment.
  • Hardware Troubleshooting: Proven capability to diagnose, trace, and troubleshoot complex, component-level hardware issues on electrical and mechanical clinical devices.

Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php25,000.00 per month
