Full job description

Responsible for the maintenance, inspection, calibration, troubleshooting, and safe operation of medical equipment used throughout the hospital. Ensures that biomedical equipment is functional, reliable, and compliant with hospital safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair biomedical devices.
  • Perform equipment calibration and safety checks.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and service providers for equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Maintain updated inventory and records of medical equipment.
  • Monitor equipment service schedules, warranties, and maintenance contracts.
  • Assist in the assessment and procurement of new medical equipment.
  • Conduct equipment testing and acceptance upon delivery.
  • Provide basic training to hospital staff on proper equipment use and safety.
  • Investigate equipment-related incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper documentation of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
  • Support hospital compliance with applicable safety and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with clinical departments regarding equipment concerns and requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferably with experience in hospital biomedical equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment troubleshooting, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
  • Good technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Willing to work on-call or beyond regular hours when necessary.
  • PRC license is an advantage.
