POSITION: Bartender

Department: Service Operations
Reports To: Bar Manager / Floor Manager

Job Summary

VMX Club is seeking energetic, skilled, and service-oriented Bartenders to deliver an exceptional luxury nightlife experience to our guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages to the highest standards, providing attentive guest service, maintaining an organized and well-stocked bar, and supporting efficient beverage operations throughout the venue.

As one of the key faces of VMX Club, you will play an important role in creating memorable guest experiences, maximizing beverage sales, maintaining product quality, and ensuring that all drinks are prepared and served with professionalism, consistency, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Beverage Preparation & Service

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, mixed drinks, spirits, wine, champagne, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to company standards.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, premium spirits, wines, champagne, mixers, and other beverage products.
  • Prepare drinks accurately, efficiently, and consistently during high-volume service.
  • Follow standard recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure beverages are presented attractively and served at the appropriate temperature.
  • Provide recommendations based on guest preferences and confidently explain beverage selections.
  • Maintain speed and accuracy during peak operating hours.
  • Ensure all orders are properly prepared and served to the correct guests or tables.

Guest Service

  • Welcome and interact with guests in a warm, professional, and engaging manner.
  • Provide attentive and personalized service to guests at the bar and throughout assigned service areas.
  • Build rapport with guests while maintaining a polished and professional demeanor.
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide prompt and courteous service.
  • Recommend premium beverages, signature cocktails, and promotional offerings when appropriate.
  • Handle guest requests and concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Create memorable guest experiences that encourage repeat visits.

Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Promote premium spirits, cocktails, champagne, wines, and other beverage offerings.
  • Upsell premium brands, specialty cocktails, bottle selections, and promotional packages.
  • Communicate current promotions, signature drinks, and special offerings to guests.
  • Support the bar team in achieving beverage sales targets.
  • Maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a guest-focused approach.
  • Encourage repeat business by building positive relationships with guests.

Bar Operations

  • Prepare the bar before opening, including glassware, garnishes, mixers, ice, tools, and beverage products.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service.
  • Monitor beverage inventory and promptly communicate shortages or replenishment needs.
  • Restock spirits, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other bar supplies as required.
  • Maintain proper organization of bottles, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Ensure bar equipment and tools are used and maintained properly.
  • Assist with opening and closing bar procedures.
  • Complete proper end-of-shift cleaning, storage, and preparation for the next service period.

Order & Table Coordination

  • Accurately receive and process beverage orders from guests and service staff.
  • Coordinate with VIP Servers / Bottle Servers regarding table beverage requirements.
  • Prepare beverages for VIP tables and general floor service efficiently.
  • Coordinate with Service Runners to ensure timely delivery of drinks.
  • Communicate clearly with Floor Managers and service staff during busy periods.
  • Prioritize orders appropriately during peak operating hours.
  • Ensure all beverage orders are completed accurately and promptly.

Inventory & Product Control

  • Monitor stock levels and report low or damaged inventory to management.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling and storing alcoholic beverages.
  • Minimize product waste through proper portioning and preparation.
  • Follow company procedures for bottle opening, product usage, and inventory control.
  • Assist management with stock counts and inventory checks when required.
  • Maintain accurate awareness of available premium and promotional products.

Hygiene & Safety

  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, grooming, and professional appearance.
  • Keep the bar, counters, equipment, and surrounding work areas clean and sanitary.
  • Follow proper food and beverage handling procedures.
  • Handle glassware, bottles, bar tools, and equipment safely.
  • Immediately clean spills and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and company sanitation standards.

Guest Relations

  • Remember guest names and preferences whenever possible.
  • Build positive relationships with regular guests and VIP clientele.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding guests, their preferences, and activities.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and respect at all times.
  • Respond positively and professionally to guest feedback.
  • Support the creation of a welcoming and upscale nightlife atmosphere.

Compliance

  • Verify guest age when required and comply with responsible alcohol service policies.
  • Refuse alcohol service to guests who are underage or visibly intoxicated in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.
  • Follow all company SOPs, beverage recipes, and service standards.
  • Maintain proper hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards.
  • Observe workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Comply with all company rules, policies, and regulations.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • At least Senior High School Graduate or College Level; a degree or certification in Hospitality, Tourism, Culinary Arts, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience in a nightclub, luxury bar, hotel, lounge, casino, premium restaurant, or hospitality establishment.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume or upscale nightlife environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, champagne, beer, and other beverage products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service and guest relations skills.
  • Sales-oriented with the ability to confidently recommend premium beverages.
  • Able to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent beverage quality.
  • Well-groomed, professional, energetic, and approachable.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required.
  • Physically fit and able to stand, walk, lift, and work for extended periods.

Pay: Php40,000.00 - Php45,000.00 per month
