Position Title: Agri-business Staff

Department: Cotabato-Maguindanao Chapter [Welfare Services]

Reports To: Chapter Administrator, Chapter Service Representative, National project coordinator, NHQ Program Heads, SRC Delegation, Livelihood Officer (WS)

Direct Reports: Chapter Project Coordinator

Location: Cotabato City, Maguindanao Province

Purpose Statement

Ensure the continuity, application and realization of the project at the geographical area of focus of the action and the local coordination. Considerable amount of trust and responsibility for the success of the Project, therefore, rests in his post.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Implementation

  • Organize and implement Red Cross community programs with focus on SWITCH Maguindanao: Transforming coconut MSME’s into circular, sustainable and Inclusive social enterprises.
  • Work in partner with Philippine Red Cross staff, volunteers, Chapter Administrator, Project Officers, Community Representatives and Local Government Units to successfully implement projects.
  • Assist in the development and execution of business plans for agricultural enterprises.
  • Monitor agribusiness performance, including production outputs and resource management.
  • Follow-up market research to identify trends, consumer needs, and pricing strategies.
  • Provide guidance in financial planning, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Support in identifying new revenue streams and improving profitability.
  • Recommend equipment, tools, or software that can enhance production and logistics.
  • Promote sustainable farming practices that ensure long-term productivity and environmental health.
  • Provide training to farmers and agribusiness staff on best practices in agriculture and business management.
  • Offer workshops on market trends, product diversification, and financial literacy.
  • Collaborate with local and international agricultural organizations, financial institutions, and government agencies.
  • Help agribusinesses access loans, grants, and subsidies to enhance their operations.
  • Act as a liaison between farmers, agricultural businesses, and government or non-governmental organizations.
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of all data or information collected by the project;
  • Perform as required or as delegated by the Chapter Administrator, as spokesperson for the project, and to ensure that the objectives and successes as well as weaknesses are properly recorded, documented and reported;

Qualifications/Minimum Education:

  • Candidates must be a graduate of any 4-year course but preferably in Agriculture Major in Agribusiness, Entrepreneur, BSBA in Marketing Management or any related course.
