Job Title: Accounting Executive

We are currently seeking a meticulous and proactive Accounting Executive to join our vibrant team.
Job Description: As an Accounting Executive at Rakuten Travel Xchange, you will be responsible for managing and executing various accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will collaborate with different departments to support financial operations and contribute to the overall financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily accounting operations such as journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
- Assist in the preparation of tax reports and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Analyze account balances and variances, identify issues, and discuss findings with the team.
- Prepare account schedules and perform preliminary reviews to support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors on complex accounting matters and process improvements.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external partners for routine financial transactions and documentation.
- Support the resolution of operational accounting issues with minimal supervision.
- Apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of accounting-related matters.
- Suggest improvements to processes and methods where appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic - formulas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently on moderately complex tasks while adhering to established procedures.
