About the Role

The Virtual Assistant in Training will undergo an 8-week training program designed to introduce candidates to the fundamentals of the U.S. insurance industry and prepare them to support insurance agencies in an administrative capacity.

During the program, trainees will gain hands-on exposure to US insurance operations, systems, and client service standards while completing training through Patra University. Upon successful completion of the 8-week program, trainees may be considered for transition into an Administrative Specialist (Virtual Assistant) role supporting US insurance agencies.

Core Duties by Competency:

Knows the Business

  • Gain a deep understanding of Patra’s business and strategy.
  • Operate within state-regulated insurance environments without crossing licensing boundaries.
  • Integrate into agency workflows using AMS, carrier portals, and productivity platforms.

Leads Others

  • Demonstrate initiative, confidence in communication, and willingness to help solve problems.

Accountable

  • Execute non-licensed, compliance-aligned administrative tasks for U.S. insurance agencies.
  • Follow U.S. insurance operational standards, documentation practices, and data-security expectations.
  • Perform other Administrative Specialist related tasks as required.

Team Player

  • Manage business communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a professional, pleasant, and collaborative approach when working with colleagues and clients.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or undergraduate degree
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable communicating with internal teams and clients
  • Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and insurance concepts

Working Conditions

  • Work-from-home
  • Physically able to work night shift (U.S. business hours).
  • Minimum internet speed of 25 mbps download and 25 mbps upload; Directly connected into modem; No satellite
